Campus Federal Credit Union is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our Accounting and Finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional to bring their leadership and expertise to a dynamic credit union dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve.

The Controller plays a critical leadership role, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and the daily operations of our Finance Department. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight, while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Lead the credit union’s accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain internal controls and prepare information for auditors, management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance to executive leadership.

Leadership & Operations:

  • Manage and develop Finance Department staff, including payroll and accounts payable functions.
  • Administer departmental software systems and support process improvements.

Planning & Risk Management:

  • Support the CFO and VP Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Protect credit union assets through strong internal controls and operational oversight.

Technical & Tactical:

  • Perform month-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Support and train team members on financial processes such as fixed asset tracking, bank reconciliations, investment portfolio accounting, and payroll.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Finance or Accounting degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting area (financial institution experience strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of credit union regulations and the banking industry
  • Experience with Prologue and ADP payroll systems preferred
