Campus Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors has two (2) Board members with expiring terms, and one (1) upcoming vacant seat. The nominating committee, comprised of current Board members, is placing Ben Lousteau and Sheila Faour before the membership for re-election, and Suzanne Tinsley, Ph.D., PT, NCS for election to the Board of Directors for a three year term beginning in March 2025. All three members have accepted nominations to serve.
Members who are not nominated but who are interested in running for a seat can be nominated by petition. The petition must be signed by a minimum of 1% or 442 Campus Federal Credit Union members in good standing, as of September 30, 2024. Accompanying the petition should be a statement of qualifications, biographical data, and a letter from the nominee that he/she is agreeable to the nomination and will serve, if elected. Mail these items to Campus Federal Credit Union, Attention: Nominating Committee, P. O. Box 98036, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. All petitions must be received no later than Friday, February 14, 2025. If no petitions are received, the nominees listed in bold in the first paragraph will be seated to the Campus Federal Board of Directors.
Ben Lousteau began serving as a member of the Associate Board in 2011 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2013 to fill a vacancy of an unexpired term. He has accepted the nomination to serve another three-year term. Lousteau began his career with LSU Health New Orleans in 1995, rose through the ranks to the position of Associate Dean of Fiscal Affairs, and is currently the Interim Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Management as well as an MBA from the University of New Orleans.
Sheila Faour began serving as a member of the Supervisory Committee in 2006, became a board member in 2008, and has accepted the nomination to serve another three-year term. She is currently the Director of Finance for the City of Shreveport. Faour retired from LSU Health Shreveport in March 2024, where she was employed for 35 years, serving previously as CFO, Director of Budgets and Planning, Budget Fiscal Analyst, and Clinic Business Manager. Faour also has work experience with both finance and savings and loan companies prior to her LSU Health Shreveport role.
Suzanne Tinsley, Ph.D., PT, NCS has been a Campus Federal Ambassador since 2019. Tinsley earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1986 and Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology from LSU Health Shreveport in 1999. She has been on faculty at LSU Health Shreveport for 34 years, currently serving as Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Advancement. She holds joint appointments of Associate Professor in the Departments of Rehabilitation Science, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Neuroscience, and Neurology. Tinsley is the first Richard C. Parks Endowed Professor in Neurological Rehabilitation and teaches pharmacology and neuroscience. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Physical Therapist and an active researcher in neurological rehabilitation.
