Campus Federal Credit Union continues its tradition of championing LSU’s brightest minds by once again supporting the Rainmaker Awards. This year, six exceptional faculty members were recognized by the LSU Office of Research & Economic Development (ORED) for their groundbreaking research, scholarship and creative endeavors.
These Rainmakers represent the pinnacle of LSU’s academic talent across diverse disciplines. The awards acknowledge both long-standing contributions and the potential to shape the future. Each recipient’s work has demonstrably impacted not only the LSU community but also the wider world.
Nominations for the awards, encompassing emerging, mid-career and senior scholars, were submitted by faculty, departments and colleges. LSU’s Council on Research meticulously reviewed the nominations and selected winners across two categories: Arts, Humanities, Social or Behavioral Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
In support of their efforts, Campus Federal awards each Rainmaker a one-time cash stipend of $1,000. The esteemed faculty were recently honored at a reception held at the LSU Huey P. Long Fieldhouse Ballroom.
