Campus Federal Credit Union, a proud platinum level sponsor of the 2024 AAF-BR Student Conference, empowered the next generation of entrepreneurs with a presentation on essential business skills. Held in the newly renovated LSU Barnes Ogden Art & Design Complex, the conference brought together 60 LSU Art & Design students for a day of learning, networking and professional development.

Campus Federal’s Community Development & Financial Education Officer Zacki Soliman presented “Entrepreneurship Basics,” a session that explained the early stages of starting a business. Students gained valuable insights on crafting a business plan, budgeting for success and navigating the initial steps of launching their ventures.

“We are committed to supporting the aspirations of future business leaders in our community,” said Bonny Botts, Campus Federal SVP Marketing & Business Development. “By equipping students with financial education and entrepreneurial knowledge, we empower them to turn their dreams into reality,” continued Botts.

The AAF-BR Student Conference offered a comprehensive program, featuring presentations from diverse local organizations, resume workshops for honing job application skills and portfolio reviews to strengthen student presentations. Breakout sessions and group discussions provided opportunities for students to share ideas, receive feedback and connect with peers. The presence of members from the AAF-BR executive committee and board of directors further enriched the conference by fostering valuable connections between students and industry professionals.
