Campus Federal Credit Union proudly served as a contributing partner for the “Life Savers 2025: 80’s Rewind” event, which raised funds for the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, a premier Center of Excellence in Cancer Research, Treatment and Education. Feist-Weiller Cancer Center is North Louisiana’s only academic cancer center, supported by the collaboration between Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Shreveport.

The proceeds from the event were dedicated to the McDade House renovation campaign. Located just steps away from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – St. Mary Medical Center, the McDade House provides patients receiving treatment at Feist-Weiller with a welcoming and restful environment during their stay. Renovations will restore the McDade House, originally opened in 1985, as a hospitality home for patients traveling from out of town for cancer treatment.

Campus Federal representatives, including Dwayne Clayton, Campus Federal Supervisory Committee Member; Dr. Suzanne Tinsley, Campus Federal Ambassador; Eddie Tinsley; Elise Farrar, Campus Federal Branch Operations Manager; Brian Ainsworth, Campus Federal Vice President of Business Development; and Auburn Brasher, Campus Federal Business Development Officer, were in attendance at the lively 80's-themed event held at the Silver Lake Ballroom in downtown Shreveport on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

“We are honored to be part of this important event and to support the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center in its mission to provide top-notch care for cancer patients in our community,” said Brian Ainsworth, Vice President of Business Development at Campus Federal. “The renovation of the McDade House will help ensure that patients have a comfortable place to stay while receiving treatment, and we are excited to contribute to such a worthy cause,” continued Ainsworth.

The Life Savers 2025 event was a night to remember, with guests donning their best 80’s attire in support of the cancer center’s efforts. The success of the event further underscores the commitment of local organizations and community members to improving cancer care in Shreveport and beyond.
